What did I learn This Week?

Second Timsies 

Once a week around Thursday or Friday I talk about what I learned in my Thought and Writing. This week we learned more about Narrative writing. We had to read two stories one was called The Lesson  and the other was called Pet Milk. The Lesson was about a group of poor and not very educated kids that follow this old women around and learn Lessons. While the lessons are not sugar coated they make kids come to realizations. An example of that would be when the narrator runs away realizing that she is not wealthy because she comes to realize that the toy airplane that is $1000 is worth about food for a good while for her family. To be honest I did not really like the story very much but hey that is just me. The second story is about a man sitting on his porch drinking coffee with Pet Milk in it and the pet milk starts giving him flashbacks to this time where he was young and wild and free. No not the Wiz Khalifa song but close! He eats with this young lady and then makes his way onto a subway and starts having sex with the girl. All during it though he is describing what he sees in the town which is Chicago. While the things he sees are not very pretty you have already read about this romantic moment you forget how not cool those things are. I enjoyed this story and hope people will read it. I am glad we got to discus and learn those things in class.
